Mark Spriggs - Company President
Mark is an accomplished and versatile actor with over 30 years of performing experience. He began his journey towards professional theatre when he joined the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain at the age of 14.
Mark has a degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies from Lancaster University.
Mark has provided Historical and Ghost tours of his home town, Stratford Upon Avon for many years.
He first worked for The Festival Players International in 2015 playing Falstaff in Henry IV & Touchstone in As You Like It.
He has over 15 Shakespeare credits, including 7 tours with The Festival Players Int, and is now part of the new team running the company into it’s new era.

Ross Samuel - Company Producer
Ross is an actor, having trained at ArtsEd and has since gained a lot of experience in a wide variety of theatre work; arena, open-air tours as well as site-specific and immersive theatre.
Ross has also got a 1st Class degree with Honors in ‘Theatre & Professional Practice’ from Coventry University. Here he had a play that he co-wrote and directed picked up for a short run at the Belgrade Theatre B2 Studio.
Ross has worked for the Festival Players, as an actor, on 2 tours; The Tempest (2024) and As You Like It (2025) and is thrilled to be Company Producer in this new dawn for the company.

Johnny Coppin - Composer
Johnny is a talented singer/songwriter and composer who began his career as one of the founder members of the band Decameron. As an experienced solo performer, he has recorded over fourteen albums including The Winding Stair, Borderland, Edge of Day with writer Laurie Lee, The Gloucestershire Collection, and his latest albums River of Dreams and Midwinter.
His original music for theatre includes Songs on Lonely Roads (the story of composer and poet Ivor Gurney); Edge of Day - a tribute to Laurie Lee; as well as all of The Festival Players Theatre Company’s open-air productions of Shakespeare plays since 1991.
Johnny has performed at many festivals, concert halls, venues large and small, and also runs very successful Songwriting Weekends.
